Karen Wimhurst currently resides in Shaftesbury North Dorset, where she directs her own chamber choir Palida, co-conducts the Shaftesbury Community Choir and a has a nonet a cappella group Sylvafield Singers.

As a choir leader Karen has been invited to develop and direct a number of her own works across the UK.
